Hi! I'm Milena but my friends called me Mylo, I'm an environmental engineer and I have more than 15+ years of experience with furry members of our family, We are pet lovers but it is a big responsibility, especially that part of keeping the environment clean for everyone, we learned after having 7 pets! My family values ​​our time together especially when our schedules are busy so we understand you, it's not easy to keep cleaning up the poop all the time and it's a sacrifice that shows our responsibility and love for everyone including our pets. We have experienced how waste accumulates in our backyards and public areas too. And we where there too, even when we used to think that dog waste decomposes and simply disintegrates into the soil as fertilizer but it doesn’t, actually the decomposition can be slower and more complicated due to several factors, can be more than 6 months. And then when I think in an environmental standpoint just I think myself it is terrible since dog poop contains large amounts of nitrogen and phosphorus which can affect soil and water quality. What We aim to achieve is to give healthier areas for us and pets to play. That is why all the options we have have eco-friendly compost disposal to create biomass. Think about all the waste ends up in wastewater runoff areas, sewers, streams and lakes causing eutrophication of these nearby bodies of water promoting excessive algae growth that damages aquatic ecosystems which in turn, if left unattended, suffocates healthy bacteria and fish. And not just water and soil pollution, studies have found that between 15 and 40 percent of air pollution in Ohio caused by airborne bacteria came directly from dog feces. So, Mylo Pet wants to contribute to our society with something that needs to be cleaned, because no matter who it is, on a regular basis, the health department recommends doing it weekly.
